Rene Meshake: WLU Homecoming Celebrations 2010
At the Faculty of Education, we are excited to welcome you back to Wilfrid Laurier University! This year, we will be hosting a public lecture by Rene Andre Meshake, author, illustrator, poet, storyteller, visual artist, spoken word performer, musician, and filmmaker. He is the author of two children's books, Blueberry Rapids and Moccasin Creek. Both books artistically fuse Ojibwe and English words to describe the adventures of a nine-year-old boy who is living a traditional life style with his Okomissan (Grandmother). (more...)
