The mandate of the Department of Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing (CPAM) is to promote the goals and achievements of Wilfrid Laurier University and its students, faculty and staff. The department develops and delivers the university's key messages, provides information and advocacy on behalf of the university, and assists in positioning Laurier in the post-secondary sector.

CPAM consists of two teams:

Communications & Public Affairs

  • Resources for the media
  • Communications services (strategy, news releases, writing, photo, video etc.)
  • Media relations training
  • University publications (insideLaurier, Campus Magazine)
  • Social media

Marketing & Creative Services

  • Design services (posters, publications, invites etc.)
  • Official university templates (Powerpoint, letterheads etc.)
  • Laurier's brand standards guide
  • Logo requests
